Art in Recovery - October, 2009

Painting by Keith Adams, Manatee Glens client

The Village of the Arts, in partnership with Manatee Glens Hospital and Addiction Center, showcased Art in Recovery, a Manatee Glens Client Art Show again this year. This inspired exhibit was held at Still Life in G Gallery in October. This year in addition to artwork by clients the show featured tiles with a healing image created by clients in all adult programs. These tiles will become part of a permanent installation referred to as The Healing Wall and will be on display at Manatee Glens Hospital and Addiction Center. Another new feature this year was art journals created by clients participating in the new residential program for addiction.
