The Village of the Arts is a vibrant community of artists living and working together in Bradenton, Florida. The Village is Florida’s largest art community and over 30 businesses call the Village home. Galleries, studios, cafes, healing arts, jewelry, fashion and books can all be found as you wander the streets of this charming area of restored 1920's and 30's cottages. Located just south of downtown, the Village is one of Bradenton's most exciting areas. Carving out a creative community where people can live and create, going strong after more than 15 years.

Open year-round with monthly Artwalks the first Friday (6-9:30pm) and following Saturday (11am-4pm) of every month. Closed Sundays. Normal business hours vary by gallery. Please see website map or visit our artist/gallery page for details . Most galleries and businesses open Friday and Saturday from 11am-4pm. October Artwalk: Friday, October 3, 6-9:30pm and Saturday October 4, 11am-4pm.
Think Pink and Tie One on For Breast Cancer.
Join us in the Village of the Art as we raise awareness for breast cancer. Ribbons will be available at galleries, stores and restaurants. Visitors are encouraged to participate by tying the ribbons throughout the Village to honor survivors, loved ones and to show support for people battling the disease. The American Cancer Society will be in the Village offering educational and support materials. Enjoy music, art and creative breast cancer awareness treats from out bakeries. Together we are empowering people and spreading hope throughout the Village.

Halloween Trick or Treat in the Village!
Come Trick or Treat in the Village during our first Halloween Trick or Treat event! Businesses with framed pumpkins will be giving out goodies on Halloween night from 6-8pm. The Village is waiting for all little ghosts and goblins – please join us for this family friendly event.

Friday November 7, 6-9:30pm & Saturday November 8, 11am-4pm
The 9th Annual Dia De los Muertos, FESTIVAL OF THE SKELETONS, Mexican Food and Music, Village Community Shrine Honoring Santa Fe, New Mexico's famous painter of flowers, Georgia O' Keeffe. Memory Wall for Loved Ones, Artist's Skeleton Walk, Procession of the Skeleton Puppets, Artist's Shrines and Altars to Friends and Loved Ones at Galleries throughout the Village, Plus a special appearance by Mexico's most famous Skeleton, Lady La Catrina and her handsome skeleton escort. So put on your Best Skeleton Face and take you picture at our life-size Dia de los Muertos Postcard Photo Board in Remembrance of this Joyous Event. A not to be missed Celebration of Life for Skeletons of All Ages. FREE.

Step into a Christmas Card From the Past as you stroll through our quaint village of colorful 1920 cottages festooned with Holiday Lights to the sounds of the Southeast High School Carolers and the Keys Tones Barbershop Quartet. Enjoy Vintage Holiday Fashions from Retro Rosie's of Bradenton, Holiday Treats and Sugar Plums at the Village Eateries and Hot Cocoa and Cookies on the Street Corners,  Antique displays of Quilts, Dolls and Toys, and the Grand Opening of The Herbie Rose Village of the Arts Center, Gallery & Gardens featuring a special display of Village Gingerbread Houses, a Village Artists Christmas Tree and carols by the famous Manatee Players English Dickens Carolers. And Yes Virginia, Santa will be on hand to hear your every wish too. Be sure to bring your Christmas Gift List as Village Artists will be displaying their latest One-of-a-Kind Creations for your Holiday Shopping pleasure.
