The Village of the Arts is a vibrant community of artists living and working together in Bradenton, Florida. With over thirty-five artists, the Village is Florida’s largest art community. ArtWalks fill the streets with art lovers looking for affordable fine art, jewelry, ceramics, designer wear and collectibles of all kinds. You'll also find inviting bookstores, gourmet cafes and many special events.
Most galleries are open Saturdays and many have extended hours during the week. Check listings for days/hours of individual galleries on our Artists and Galleries page. ArtWalks are the first Friday of each month, 6 - 9:30pm and first Saturday, 11am to 4pm.
Please join us for our rescheduled event: Cupid, Cosmos and Cinema on Friday evening, March 12th for a free outdoor screening of the romantic classic “An Affair to Remember” starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr beginning at 7pm at the corner of 12 St W & 11 Ave W. The 3rd bi-annual Bradenton GeckoFest is returning to delight and unite the community! Those colorful, six foot fiberglass geckos are adorning local buildings through April 2010 when they will come down for the Gala and Auction that will be held Saturday, May 1st.
Many thanks to Geico for stepping up again as the presenting sponsor. This event, as part of Realize Bradenton, is produced by the South Florida Museum, the Manatee Players, the Village of the Arts , the Manatee County Cultural Alliance, the Manatee County Historical Commission and ArtCenter Manatee, with Jayne Kocher serving as the committee chairperson.
