The Village of the Arts is a vibrant community of artists living and working together in Bradenton, Florida. With over forty artists, the Village is Florida’s largest art community. Monthly ArtWalks fill the streets with art lovers looking for affordable fine art, jewelry, ceramics, designer wear and collectibles of all kinds. You'll also find inviting bookstores, gourmet cafes and many special events free to the public. ArtWalks are the FIRST Friday and Saturday of every month: Friday 6-9:30pm, Saturday 11am-4pm. Check listings for hours of individual galleries on our Artists and Galleries page.
Our next ArtWalk is Friday, July 3rd from 6 - 9:30pm and Saturday, July 4th from 11am - 4pm. Mark your calendar; we’ll have live music, refreshments and lots of art and collectibles. Avoid the crowds downtown and celebrate Independence Day with us! Many galleries are open throughout the summer and are chock-full of new inventory.

The Village of the Arts threw a huge party called ARTS ALIVE on Saturday, May 9th from 10am-4pm and Bradenton & beyond turned out to join us for this daylong community celebration that featured hands-on art activities, games, food and fun for everyone. Street performers, musicians, circus performers and food vendors were scattered throughout the Village all day. Thank you for your resounding response!
About Arts Alive: Life-sized Styrofoam Funky Man sculptures were distributed free to schools in Manatee County. Students had a couple months to transform the blank figures using their imagination and creativity. During our ARTS ALIVE event the completed sculptures were on display throughout the Village. Many of the fully decorated Funky Men were auctioned off. If you have some outstanding photos of this event please send photo files, with caption info, to Lin Oakerson. They may be posted on our photo gallery page.
Kids painted street murals all day long
Clay in the Garden sponsored a street painting event with pastels
Some of our feathered friends were in attendance as well
